Delete your account and data

Applies to the CertControl app (cloud.certcontrol.app) and certcontrol.cloud.

Option 1 — Delete in the app

Open CertControl and sign in to your account.
Go to Settings (side menu) → Account.
Tap Delete under “Delete account”, then confirm Yes, delete.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You are signed out as soon as it completes.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you can no longer sign in, email privacy@certcontrol.cloud from the address registered on your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify ownership and delete within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your login credentials and authentication account
Profile details (name, role, rank, industry, avatar)
All certificates, expiry dates and uploaded document files
Service records and work history entries
Alert preferences, notifications and dismissed alerts
Company profile and team links, where you are the owner

What may be retained, and for how long

Encrypted backups containing your data expire automatically within 30 days.
Billing and invoice records are kept for up to 7 years where required by tax law.
Security and abuse logs (IP address, timestamps) are kept up to 12 months.

Uploaded certificate images used for AI auto-fill are never stored — they are discarded as soon as the data is extracted.
